Fancy Fold Card Share

Today I'm sharing a card I made for some friends and family.  I've never used this particular fancy fold before, but I received a card in a monthly swap that used it and thought it was so lovely I had to try it.  I don't know the name of the fold, but I've been calling it the tri-fold.



Here are the instructions for the card:

Supplies

  • 121045 Basic Black Cardstock
    • 9 3/4" x 4 1/4" - scored at 4 1/4"
    • 8 1/2" x 1 1/4" - score at 5 1/2"
    • 2 1/2" x 3 1/2"
  • 100702 Old Olive Cardstock
    • 4" x 4"
    • 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"
  • 133719 Gold Glimmer Paper
    • 4 1/8" x 4 1/8"
    • 2 3/8" x 3 3/8"
  • 100730 Whisper White Cardstock
    • 2 1/8" x 3 1/8"
    • 4 1/8" x 5 3/8"
  • 144621 Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper
    • 3 7/8" x 3 7/8"
    • 1" x 4 1/8"
  • 144870 Good Tidings stamp set
  • 144141 Faceted Gems
  • 126953 Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad
  • 144611 Vintage Crochet Trim
  • Fast Fuse

Instructions

  1. Card Base 
    1. Score Basic Black card stock (9 3/4" x 4 1/4") at 4 1/4" and burnish with bone folder
    2. Score Basic Black card stock (8 1/2" x 1 1/4") at 5 1/2" and burnish with bone folder
  2. Adhere the Basic Black strip to the card base.  Fold the strip to the front of the card base
  3. Card Front #1 
    1. Adhere the Glimmer paper to the card front
    2. Adhere the Old Olive card stock to the card front
    3. Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the card front
  4. Card Front #2 
    1. Adhere the Glimmer paper to the Basic Black card stock (2 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece)
    2. Adhere the Old Olive card stock to the Glimmer paper
    3. Stamp the Whisper White card stock using Old Olive ink with the sentiment
    4. Adhere to the Old Olive
    5. Adhere this card front to the front of card on the strip of Basic Black card stock
  5. Inside of Card
    1. Stamp the sentiment to the Whisper White card stock (4 1/8" x 5 3/8") 
    2. Adhere the Designer Series Paper to Whisper White card stock on right hand side
    3. Adhere a piece of crochet trim around card from at the edge of the Designer Series Paper
    4. Adhere Whisper White card stock to the inside of the card
  6. Adhere the embellishments to the card front

I hope you enjoy this card.  It is pretty easy to put together once you have your pieces cut out!
