Fall is in the Air and that means it's time to start thinking about Christmas!

Fall definitely feels like it is in the air on the West Coast.

We have had an amazing summer and in fact, it's been so lovely that we seeded our lawn about 2 weeks ago.  Yesterday was Thanksgiving in Canada and it's definitely starting to feel more fall like - leaves are starting to turn and there is a nip in the air in the morning.  It makes me think about getting ready for Christmas!

Today I wanted to share with you a card I made for a swap that I participate in.  The card uses the Musical Season stamp set and coordinating framelits from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue.  I love this set - although as I've started to use it, I think I really love the French Horn as I seem to go back to it over and over again!

I decided to make the card a little more vintage so I sponged the edges of the Music paper in Crumb Cake.  I also ripped a strip of card stock and sponged over the paper in a few places to make it look like it was old and then scrunched the paper up and unfolded it.

I cut out the French Horn in Gold Foil and the stamped leaves in Old Olive using the coordinating Musical Instruments Framelits.  It's hard to see the metallic gold thread in the background.  A few tiny pearls on the leaves finished off the card.
