Sneak Peek....

Saturday 27 December 2014

The Stampin' Up! Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogues will be available for you to choose some amazing products from starting January 6th.  I've already started to play with some of the new products.  My advice for you is to save your pennies - there are amazing new products in the catalogues and if you're like me you want them all.

Here's a few sneak peeks of cards made using the new products.  If you sign up for my upcoming classes you'll be making some of these cards.  Check out my classes here.

The first two cards using the stamp set "Sheltering Tree".  I love this set as there are so many ideas - I've CASE'd the samples in the new catalogue for the first card.

I couldn't resist the stamp set "Baby Bumblebee".  Since I like to place the sentiment where I want it I carefully cut off the sentiment from the image.
My favourite products in the catalogue - Butterfly Basics stamp set and the coordinating Butterflies Thinnest.  This card is CASE'd from the catalogue.  It was such a beautiful card I couldn't resit.  I just changed up the sentiment and made it a birthday card!
Finally some pictures of the Perpetual Calendar Kit.  This will make a beautiful gift or you can keep it for yourself.  I'm having a class on January 31st to make this kit where you'll be able to use my stamps, ink pads and embellishments to make your kit.  Sign up by January 22nd so that I can pre-order your kit.

If you haven't received your catalogue yet, email me and I'll get one to you.

It's Christmas Eve and all through the house...

It's Christmas Eve and all through the house...

Wednesday 24 December 2014

Here it is Christmas Eve.  Are you all ready?  I have a few presents to wrap and then a dessert to make for Christmas Day.  After that I think I'm ready.  It will be a quiet Christmas for my husband and I - just 4 of us for Christmas Dinner.  I'm looking forward to relaxing for a few days and of course during that time playing with the supplies I pre-ordered from the new Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration Catalogue.  They are all amazing.

I posted in a previous post (click here to see the post and to register) the schedule of my upcoming classes in January.  If you are interested, please register on line or email me to reserve your spot.  I have one additional class that I hadn't posted.

The Perpetual Calendar class

This class will use the kit in the new catalogue.  Cost will be $30 and includes the kit and use of all of the stamps and ink pads and some additional bling.

Date:  January 31 from 10am-12:30pm
You must pre-register for this class by January 22 so that I can order the kits.

If you register for the Birthday/All Occasion card class on the same day from 1-3:30pm you pay only $20 for this class.

Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration Catalogue

Are you ready for Christmas?

Saturday 20 December 2014

I can't believe how close to Christmas it is.  I think (no, I know) I completely lost track of time this year with my holiday a couple of weeks ago.  I have a few last minute gifts and the goodies for Christmas dinner left to buy.  Guess what I'll be doing this weekend!

Do you have some last minute gifts?  I have an idea - Paper Pumpkin!  Paper Pumpkin is a great gift for the crafter in your life or maybe for you!  It is a fully designed project kit that comes right to your door each month - everything is included!  You will make a fun and easy project each month - it may be cards or it may be a 3D project.  It's always fun!

You can purchase it month to month or you can purchase a pre-paid subscription for either 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.  When you purchase month to month, you can put your subscription on hold for any month where you will be away and you can cancel at any time.  I'm not sure why you'd want to cancel after you've seen the amazing kits you receive.

If you're new to stamping, this is a great way to get some stamps, inks and other supplies to do other projects - anything you receive in the kit you can use to make other projects!  You can also check out Pinterest for other great ideas to use your kit supplies!

Check out this video from Stampin' Up! that features December's kit.  I can't wait to open my box!

If you want to order a Pre-Paid Paper Pumpkin subscription you can email me or click here

It's good to be home....

Tuesday 16 December 2014

I'm home from Argentina - we had a wonderful time.  I will definitely be practicing my Spanish before my next trip to South America.  I've returned from lovely warm weather to snow and cold (at least it's not as cold as it could be) in Saskatchewan this week.  I have to say it does feel nice to have snow around Christmas.  I'm sure the west coast will just be wet for Christmas.

I'm itching to get started playing with all of my new products from the upcoming Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration Catalogue.  They arrived while I was away.  The catalogue will be available for you to purchase from January 6th (and believe me the products are wonderful, so save your pennies!).  Sale-A-Bration also starts that day so for every $60 you spend you earn one product from the SAB catalogue for FREE!

In the mean time, here's a sneak peek of the catalogues.  Isn't the bouquet of flowers amazing!  It's available as a kit so you can re-create it at home or join me in an upcoming class!

If you'd like to receive a catalogue, email me and I'll make sure you receive one.

Buenos Dias from Buenos Aires

Saturday 6 December 2014

I'm in Buenos Aires - it was lovely to arrive in 32 degrees Celsius after leaving the West Coast with snow on the ground!  It was a long flight - Vancouver to Toronto and then south to Santiago, Chile and finally Buenos Aires.  I can't wait to explore and meet up with my colleagues.

My blogging may be a bit sporadic over the next week - apologies for that.  Don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack - it has been updated with some amazing new deals for the end of the year.  I'll be sharing some samples over the next few weeks made with new products from the Occasions Catalogue and Sale-a-Bration Catalogue.  One of the perks of being part of the Stampin' Up! family is that I get to see the catalogue and pre-order product.  You'll be able to do that in January.  All I can tell you is that the new catalogues are amazing!  I want everything!

A few picture of our flight here - first, pictures as we were landing in Santiago, Chile - the view of the mountains was amazing!

Then coming in to Buenos Aires - definitely no mountains here.
And finally on the ground after 26 hours in the air and in airports.  The beer definitely tasted good!

Online Extravaganza ends December 2nd and more Birthday shares

Sunday 30 November 2014

It's not too late to take advantage of the deals that are part of the Online Extravaganza.  There will be more Doorbuster specials tomorrow - if they are as amazing as last week you don't want to miss out.  You can check them out at 11pm tonight by clicking here.

I shared some Birthday cards with you earlier in the week and have more to share.
The first card uses one of my favourite colour combinations - Pistachio Pudding and Soft Suede.  This was so quick and easy and I really like how it turned out.

For the next card I used the Large Polka Dot Embossing folder and ran it through the Big Shot twice. Run it through once and then turn over the paper and move it down slightly to give the two different textures.  I love how this turned out.

Hope you check out the deals tomorrow.  I'll be placing an order on Monday so you can email me if you are interested in taking advantage of the deals!

Birthday Cards!

Tuesday 25 November 2014

I know everyone is thinking about Christmas, but I thought I'd change it up a little bit and share some ideas for birthday cards.  The cards I'm sharing have one thing in common (besides being created by amazing Stampin' Up! demonstrators) - the use of Stampin' Up! markers.  And the best bit is that the markers for the In Colours are on sale right now!

The first card uses vellum paper for both the flower and for the border.  The back of the flower is coloured with Lost Lagoon.  I love this card!

Beautiful card created by Ellie Blake
The next card has the candle and the liquid in the martini glass coloured.  Crystal Effects has been used over the liquid.  This picture doesn't do the card justice!
Amazing card created by Colleen Vassos
Check out the markers in the Online Extravaganza sale - 40% off - only $11.96 until December 2 (while supplies last).  Click here to check out all of the deals.

Saturday 15 November 2014

I'm a little late in posting today as I'm at a Crafting Retreat.  It's been a fun weekend so far.  We arrived last night, had dinner and starting to play.  Such fun!  There are 53 ladies here working on all sorts of different crafts - scrapbooking, quilting, jewelry making and stamping!  A few of my friends have ordered cards from so this was a great opportunity to make those cards.  I've also started my Christmas cards for family and friends - I won't share those as I want it to be a surprise.

Here's some of the cards I have made so far...

It's hard to believe it's only about 6 weeks to Christmas - if you need supplies email me with your order or go to my online store!

Lest We Forget

Tuesday 11 November 2014

It's Remembrance Day in Canada.  The day we take time to remember members of our armed services who gave their lives in service to our country.  The red poppy is the symbol of Remembrance Day - we wear poppies on our lapels for approximately a month prior to November 11th.

The red poppy became the symbol due to the poem "In Flanders Fields".  The poppies bloomed across some of the worst battlefields of Flanders in World War I, their brilliant red colour became a symbol for the blood spilled in the war.

Whatever you do today, please take a minute or two to remember!

Stampin' Up! Canada Fall Conference

Tuesday 4 November 2014

I had such a fun time at the Fall Conference last weekend that I wanted to share some my photos with you.  I had the opportunity to volunteer for the entire conference - helping with Make and Take's and also doing a "show and tell" about Project Life.  As always Stampin' Up! puts on wonderful events - this one was a little different as it was organized by the Canadian office in Calgary and used lots of BC Demonstrators to help out.

A few pictures from the event to share.  We played a very fun game "Let's Make a Deal Jeopardy Feud" - Dale Hampshire (Manager of Stampin' Up! Canada) was a wonderful host!  Here's my friend Diane Evans (on the left) answering a question.  I made a deal for some cardstock and a punch and my team won free product!  We had such a fun time!
Of course there were M&T's for everyone.  Very cute projects - but I just realized I have no pictures of them :(

Here's some of the projects that were on display.  So cute!  I love this stepped card made from Holiday Home.

There was also a card contest for Ronald McDonald House Charities.  My friend Ginny won with this beautiful card!  It was even more stunning in person!
If you'd like to learn more about why I love being a demonstrator, email or call me.  There are so many benefits and one of the ones that is most important to me is the community of friends that I have made.  I got to spend time with some of those ladies this weekend and also has a chance to make new friends!

It's going to be a short post today...

Saturday 1 November 2014

Sorry for the short post today.  I'm on my way out to Abbotsford for Day 2 of Stampin' Up! Canadian Fall Conference.  I was there most of yesterday helping to set up and then doing a "show and tell" about Project Life by Stampin' Up!  It was so much fun!  This is one of the perks about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - great events where you get to meet other demonstrators and their guests, share ideas and make great projects!  If you're interested in learning more, please Email me.
I was on the Project Life by Stampin' Up! Show and Tell table.  It was great to be able to share all of the wonderful things about Project Life - it's such and quick and easy way to get all of your pictures and stories into albums.  I'm planning a Project Life class for the new year (you'll have your Christmas pictures ready)!  Interested in learning more?  Email me.

Here's my Project Life table...
Also some of the projects that were on display in the room - we were Halloween focused yesterday with the decorations.  All of the Make and Takes were Christmas themed!  It was quite a combination!

Stay tuned for more pictures!

Tap Tap Tap

Saturday 18 October 2014

Today is the 2nd Annual Ronald McDonald House Charity Stamp-a-Stack.  I'm excited to be participating.  All of the proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House in Vancouver - such a great cause!  Originally opened in Vancouver in 1983 with 13 rooms and in 2013 a new 73 room house has opened.  Interested in supporting RMHC?  Click here to donate!

The participants today will make 8 cards designed by some amazing Stampin' Demonstrators! I'm using the Tap Tap Tap stamp set for my card.  Check it out! Apologies for the quality of the picture - I took it with my new iPhone 6 and I think I'm still getting used to it as a camera!

Four Feathers

Tuesday 14 October 2014

I've had a busy weekend in my Craft Room.  I started by cleaning up and putting away all of my supplies after my two parties last week.  But I was also very productive and creative!  It's my sisters birthday in a couple of weeks so I made her card using the Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating framelits.  The inspiration for this card came from a card designed by Ginny Duncan - I love the stepped card she created for Thanksgiving.

Ginny used the Seasonally Scattered stamp set (Item 135023) with the Color Me Autum DSP (Item 135820) and the Four Feathers Framelits (Item 137629) and Autum Wooden Elements (Item 135846)

Here's my card.  I used the Back to Black DSP (Item 133700) with the Four Feathers stamp set and coordinating framelits (Item 137630 for the Bundle) on my card.  The stamped image is from the Chalk Talk stamp set and framelits (Item 130634).

My sister loves black and white so I hope she loves this card!

Stamping Party Samples and more

Saturday 11 October 2014

It's been a fun week!  I spent the week in Regina for work but I got to have some fun at the same time.  Two friends hosted a stamping party while I was there and I was able share what I love!  We focused on the Holiday Catalogue for both parties.  I showed them the wonderful new products that are available for the upcoming holidays and then they made a card to take home.

Here are the samples that I demonstrated or showed and also the Make and Takes made.

White Christmas

Beautiful card designed by Yvonne Jackson
Card from Alison Solven
This picture doesn't do this card designed by Liane Binder justice!  Liane cut all of the little images out include all of the pennants on the Merry Christmas banner.  The care moves when you pull the ribbon.  It's hard to see by she even wrapped the tree onto the car with linen thread!  WOW!
Easy tag or bookmark made with the scalloped tag punch
Love this card by Alison Solven!

Holiday Home

Use the Color Me Autumn DSP with a Wooden Autumn element
Notice the bottom - punched out using the Confetti Stars punch - love this!

Love the Halloween card made by Elaine Paget
This card made by Jenn Tinline was a hit!  Jenn used the coordinating framelits to cut out the building silhouettes.

Seasonally Scattered

Very pretty card made by Ginny Duncan
Love the silver card made by Ellie Blake
This card designed by Diane Evans caught everyones' attention!  Love the use of Vellum with white embossing powder.

Wonderous Wreath

Twisted Easel card designed by Jenn Tinline
Quick and easy card - the gold glimmer paper really steps this one up
As you can see there were lots of demos and projects!  If you're interested in holding a party, please email me.  Until October 31st you will receive a free stamp set along with the other amazing hostess benefits for a part with $325 or more in sales.  Both of the hostess for these parties will receive one!
